Who you are buying from

Home Course Goods is an online shop trading at homecoursegoods.com. You can reach us at hello@homecoursegoods.com, and our contact details are on our Contact page.

The agreement

These terms apply every time you use this site or place an order. Our refund, shipping and privacy policies are part of them. By placing an order you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not order.

You must be at least 18 years old, or old enough to enter a contract where you live, to buy from us.

Orders

Adding something to your cart is not a contract. The contract begins when we send you an order confirmation by email. Until then we may decline an order — for example if a piece is unavailable, if we cannot make what was asked for, if the price shown was plainly wrong, or if the order looks fraudulent. If we decline after taking payment, we refund it in full.

Prices and payment

Prices are in United States dollars and include standard shipping. They do not include any sales tax, duty or fee your state may add; where such a charge applies it is shown at checkout or collected on delivery, and it is yours to pay.

Payment is taken in full at checkout. We do not store your card details — payment is handled by Shopify's payment providers.

We may change prices at any time. The price that applies to your order is the one shown when you place it.

Personalization: we print exactly what you type

Most of what we make carries a name, a course, a date or a score that you supply. We print it exactly as you enter it, spelling and capitalisation included. We do not correct it, because correcting it would sometimes mean changing something you meant.

Nothing goes into production for 24 hours after you order. Write to hello@homecoursegoods.com in that window and we will change or cancel anything, free of charge. After production starts, the piece physically exists and cannot be changed.

What you may ask us to print

By submitting personalization text you confirm that you have the right to use it, and that it is not someone else's trademark, logo or copyrighted work. Course names are generally fine as plain text; club crests, logos, tour marks and team badges are not, and we do not reproduce them.

We may refuse any order whose personalization is unlawful, infringing, hateful, obscene or a threat, and we will refund it in full. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any golf club, course, tour or association named in a customer's personalization.

You keep whatever rights you have in the text you supply. You give us the limited right to use it for the sole purpose of making and delivering your order.

Production and delivery

Everything is made to order in the United States. Production takes 2 to 5 business days, shipping 3 to 5 business days after that. These are estimates, not guarantees; carriers and holidays move them. Our production and shipping page sets out the detail, including the December 12 Christmas cut-off.

We ship to the 48 contiguous United States and the District of Columbia only. Risk passes to you on delivery.

Returns and replacements

Personalized pieces cannot be returned for a change of mind. Anything that arrives damaged, defective, or not matching what you ordered, we remake free of charge. The full terms are on our returns and replacements page, which forms part of these terms.

Our designs

The course maps, scorecard layouts, illustrations, wording, photographs and the Home Course Goods name are ours or licensed to us. Buying a piece buys you the piece, for your own private use or to give as a gift. It does not give you the right to reproduce, resell or make commercial use of the design. Wholesale, corporate and tournament orders are welcome — write to us.

The site itself

We try to keep descriptions, prices and images accurate, but the site may contain errors, and colours vary from screen to screen. We may correct errors and change or withdraw products at any time. Nothing on the site is a guarantee that a product will remain available.

Limits of our responsibility

We are responsible for supplying goods that match their description and are of satisfactory quality. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including a gift arriving after the occasion it was meant for.

Nothing here excludes any right you have under mandatory consumer law where you live, or our liability for death, personal injury or fraud.

Events outside our control

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by something beyond our reasonable control — carrier disruption, a supplier's failure, extreme weather, industrial action, or the failure of a third-party platform. We will tell you and, where the delay is substantial, offer a refund.

Governing law

These terms are governed by French law. Nothing in this clause deprives a consumer of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where they live, and a consumer may bring proceedings in their own courts.
